| the movement started in 2002 after a few open mic night appearances by jim and eric gave them the feedback and inspiration they needed to make the project a bit more sophisticated. steve d approached the guys and mentioned that, although we'd never be able to pronounce his last name, he would make a unique addition to the sound the guys had. pauly battista made his way on to the scene after we learned he took bass lessons from area music legend denny carlton, not to mention he was a great friend with a special personality, and he was the only person we knew who played bass. armed with the right ammunition, 'the movement' started playing just about anywhere sound waves could be transmitted. making friends with the boys from leaving yesterday and a few other local phenomenons, the movement gained experience in just about any type of musical situation. of most recent accomplishments, the movement came out on top in a local battle of the bands semifinal, and were voted among the top six spirtually driven bands in northeast ohio. their show at the rock and roll hall of fame, as well as appearance on the widely acclaimed compilation compact disc 'real rock : music with meaning', has turned whispers into shouts as the movement continues to infiltrate the ears of the great state of ohio. |
